Hull Inspection with VideoRay Crawler

The new VideoRay hull crawler for the VideoRay Pro 4 is a tool that can be a real game-changer when used to inspect smooth surfaces – mainly ship hulls. It allows a user to inspect hulls more rapidly, smoothly, completely, and in much higher currents than with a submersible that does not have the accessory.

While the basic use of the hull crawler is fairly easy, this workshop will go through the entire process of planning for and executing a United States Coast Guard approved hull inspection with a VideoRay Pro 4 and hull crawler. This includes what to look for, where to start, how to proceed, how to work with USCG and classification society representatives, where to conduct the survey, and several other aspects of a professional UWILD (Underwater Inspection in Lieu of DryDock) inspection.

Participants will rig and fly the VideoRay Pro 4 on a ship hull and experience the hull crawler accessory.
